About the Role

Based in our Mulgrave office, this position supports the Training Team in delivering engaging and effective product training.On offer is a Product Trainer position and your day-to-day duties will include but not be limited to:

Training Delivery

  • Facilitate engaging face-to-face and virtual training sessions for sales teams, focusing on BYD product knowledge and technical details.
  • Adapt training methods to suit diverse learning styles and experience levels.
  • Conduct role-playing exercises, workshops, and hands-on practice sessions to reinforce learning.
  • Simplify complex technical concepts into clear, customer-friendly knowledge.
  • Stay up to date on BYD's latest products, software updates, and innovations.

Training Content Implementation

  • Support the roll-out of existing training materials developed by Learning Designers and the wider Training Team.
  • Prepare supporting materials such as slides, handouts, and videos for training sessions.
  • Ensure consistent, high-quality delivery of all training programs.
  • Assist in reviewing and updating training content to ensure technical accuracy and alignment with new product releases.

Evaluation and Feedback

  • Conduct post-training assessments, quizzes, and role-plays to evaluate learning outcomes.
  • Provide constructive feedback and coaching to participants.
    Gather and analyse trainee feedback to continuously improve training content and delivery.

Key requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Education, Business, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience in facilitating training, public speaking, or customer-facing roles is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in the automotive, EV, or technology industry is highly valued.
  • Technical understanding of automotive systems, EV powertrains, batteries, and intelligent driving technologies.
  • Proficiency with PowerPoint, Google Slides, and virtual platforms such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams.
  • Willingness to learn and use Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Adaptable, collaborative, and eager to embrace new learning methods and tools.
