Role Overview
Reporting to the Executive General Manager, you will lead and optimise a network of multiple branches across Australia. Your focus will be on delivering exceptional customer service, operational efficiency, and business growth while fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture. You will champion the adoption of technology and AI tools to improve productivity, drive process improvements, and enhance the customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Optimise a network of multiple branches nationally for a leading industrial distribution business.
- Lead, coach, and develop branch leaders to build high-performing, engaged teams.
- Drive performance and cultural transformation, embedding accountability and operational discipline.
- Collaborate across a matrix organisation with sales, operations, IT, and People & Culture teams.
- Implement technology and AI solutions to enhance productivity and customer satisfaction.
Candidate Profile
You are a proven General Manager with prior experience leading multi-branch or multi-site operations, ideally in industrial, manufacturing, or trades sectors. You bring strong commercial acumen with experience in P&L and budget management and have a track record of driving operational excellence, network optimisation, and performance improvements at scale.
Experienced in leading high-performing teams and embedding a performance-focused, collaborative, and inclusive culture, you are comfortable working across a matrix organisation with sales, operations, IT, and People & Culture teams. You are strategic and innovative, able to analyse branch footprints and customer needs, implement process improvements.
Humble and hands-on, you earn respect through your actions, coaching, and mentoring, and can navigate transformational change while maintaining engagement across a large, dispersed network. Your influence, communication, and stakeholder management skills enable you to align diverse teams with strategic objectives and achieve sustainable business outcomes.
