Job Description Summary
Service Stream's Maintenance Division is currently seeking a Civil Maintenance Worker to join our growing team.
About the Role
Civil Maintenance Worker will safely deliver the physical field aspects of planned and reactive water & wastewater maintenance, and minor projects under the direction of the Area Coordinator in accordance with quality, time, cost, and customer service requirements.
Nature of position: Permanent, Full Time
Location: Echuca & surrounding areas, Vic
Reporting Line: Area Coordinator: North
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake reactive and emergency maintenance and allocated tasks, ensuring the appropriate use of works management systems and procedures to facilitate optimum efficiency and effectiveness of work delivery
- Undertake planned/preventative maintenance and minor works, ensuring the appropriate use of works management systems and procedures to facilitate optimum efficiency and effectiveness of work delivery
- Provide timely and accurate field and administrative data relating to all the above by completing all required data fields in the work order details, including task activity and resource allocation, asset data and condition records, timesheet, etc.
- Participate in a flexible multidiscipline working environment to meet the needs of operational requirements. This may include, but not limited to, operation of:
- Jetting utility and equipment
- Jetting truck and equipment
- Hydro Excavation trailer and equipment
- Valve trailer and equipment
- Water maintenance truck and equipment
- Sewer maintenance truck and equipment
- Single man water and sewer response and repair utility and equipment
- Tipper truck and equipment
- Eduction/Hydrovac truck and equipment
- Small plant and equipment, such as excavator, bobcat loader, mechanical tools, and equipment
- Demonstrated competence and experience in the above list is highly desirable.
- Participate in the delivery of operations to ensure that business plan objectives and corporate strategies are met
- Provide input / suggestion on incident management to improve safety and assist with risk management
- Call out and weekend work will be required on a rotational basis. Participation in an On Call roster is required as part of this role.
- Provide required delivery of / input into vehicles and mobile plant maintenance requirements
- Other relevant duties as required by Supervisors / Managers
Experience required - 1 + years' experience in Water / Wastewater / underground infrastructure or allied maintenance industries
