About the role

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Coordinator to lead our dedicated team supporting foster carers and children. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for providing team leadership, overseeing case allocations, and managing assessments to ensure the delivery of high-quality, professional casework services.

You will play a key role in guiding and supporting staff, ensuring that practice standards are maintained, and that all interventions align with best practice principles in child protection, trauma-informed care, and family functioning. Your expertise will help shape positive outcomes for children and families, while fostering a supportive and collaborative team environment.

About you

You are a qualified Social Worker (or equivalent) with extensive experience working with families and children in crisis, including those affected by child protection issues. Your deep understanding of trauma, child development, and family systems underpins your practice, and you bring a strong background in high-level report writing and case management.

As a skilled leader and communicator, you have a track record of supervising staff, students, and volunteers within multi-disciplinary teams. You are confident in managing complex situations, fostering collaborative partnerships across the sector, and upholding child-safe and WHS practices.

You also bring:


• Demonstrated administrative proficiency and IT skills


• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving abilities


• A commitment to maintaining a child-safe environment


• Eligibility for membership with a relevant professional body such as AASW, APA, PACFA, or ACA (Desirable)
