About the RoleAs Import Coordinator, you'll manage and support the daily operations of our inbound international supply chain. You'll be responsible for shipment tracking, documentation management, and coordinating with freight forwarders and customs agents – ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of our globally sourced product range.
Working closely with the Shipping Manager, suppliers, and cross-functional teams, you'll play a key role in keeping our fast-moving retail operation running smoothly.
What You'll Do- Track inbound shipments and update key systems (Asana, NetSuite, spreadsheets)
- Liaise with freight forwarders, suppliers, and internal stakeholders on shipment status
- Review and coordinate import documentation including invoices, packing lists, and clearance docs
- Schedule and manage pre-shipment inspections (PSI) and supplier self-checks
- Ensure timely booking confirmations and resolve shipment delays, short ships, or issues with consolidation
- Validate and process freight invoices, escalating disputes as needed
- Support internal teams (Marketing, VM, Content) with timelines and product information
- Assist in preparing reporting on shipping KPIs and stock visibility
- 2+ years experience in freight forwarding, import/export coordination, or international logistics
- Strong knowledge of shipping documentation, customs, and compliance
- Experience working with freight forwarders and managing international suppliers
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Proficiency with Excel and ERP systems (NetSuite experience a plus)
- A proactive, can-do attitude and ability to manage multiple deadlines
