One of Australia's fastest-growing healthy ready-made meal companies – is seeking a highly experienced, hands-on food production & quality control leader to elevate our operations to the next level of efficiency, safety, and compliance.

This is a rare opportunity to step into a pivotal leadership role in a growing company, where your expertise in food safety, HACCP, and staff management will directly impact quality, consistency, and scale.

What You'll Be Responsible For

  • Lead HACCP Implementation
  • Create and embed a compliant HACCP plan from the ground up (we're currently non-HACCP certified)Develop procedures, flow charts, CCPs, validation logs, and staff SOPs
  • Quality & Compliance Oversight

Manage food safety policies, allergen segregation, temperature control, and shelf-life validation (including MAP packaging controls)Prepare the facility for potential council and NSW Food Authority inspections

  • Production Floor Leadership

Supervise kitchen and packing line staff (approx. 20) across multiple shifts

Ensure staff operate at the pace of MAP sealing machines and packaging efficiency targets

Drive adherence to cleaning, sanitation, and stock rotation procedures

Train staff on food handling, allergen control, HACCP principles, and audit readiness

Instill a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement

Optimise workflow for maximum packing output per hour

Identify bottlenecks and implement production line improvements

Who We're Looking For

  • Staff Training & Culture
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Experience in food manufacturing or ready-made meal production
  • Strong HACCP knowledge with a track record of implementation and audit readiness
  • Experience managing or supervising food production lines
  • Proficiency in logs, traceability, quality assurance, and regulatory documentation
  • Confident managing diverse teams and enforcing clear expectations
  • Passion for high standards, hygiene, efficiency, and continuous improvement

Bonus: Experience in blast chilling, MAP packaging, or cooking & portioning workflows in chilled food service is a big plus.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $32.00 – $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 30 per week
