ABOUT THE BUSINESS:

Jocelyn's Provisions is one of Queensland's leading bakeries. With a large and loyal customer base, we specialise in high-end, hand-made cakes, artisan breads, preserves, biscuits, slices and pastries.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

You will be responsible for:

  • Making our range of cakes, roulades, tarts, pies, puddings and special occasion products (all made from scratch).
  • All Cleaning requirements on your section.
  • Contributing to the team with ideas for new products and special occasion items.
  • Following all work place procedures, maintain WHS and HAACP standards of food handling.
  • All product costing protocols and managing wastage.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

The successful applicant will have:

  • Have a proven track record of speed and accuracy when working with a large scale of hand made products.
  • Minimum 2 years as a qualified pastry chef or 4 years in a similar position.
  • Remain calm and maintain high standards during busy periods.
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Self motivated, hardworking and a team player.

  • Full time 40 hours/5 consecutive days a week (Overtime where applicable in busy times).
  • Tuesday to Saturday, 1pm starts.

An Australian working visa is also essential.

A qualification as a pastry chef is an advantage, but not essential if you have proven experience in a similar role.

The kitchen location is in Albion.
