About the role

As a Purchasing Officer / Stock Control at Plyco Pty Ltd, you will play a crucial role in maintaining efficient inventory management and procurement processes. This full-time position is based in Fairfield, Victoria and offers the opportunity to contribute to the smooth operation and growth of our manufacturing and logistics business.

What you'll be doing

  1. Manage the purchasing of materials, goods and services to support production and distribution activities
  2. Monitor inventory levels and place orders to maintain optimal stock levels
  3. Liaise with suppliers to negotiate pricing, terms and delivery schedules
  4. Implement and maintain effective stock control procedures
  5. Prepare and process purchase orders, maintain records and generate reports
  6. Support production planning and assist with demand forecasting
  7. Identify opportunities to streamline purchasing processes and reduce costs

What we're looking for

  1. Demonstrated experience in a purchasing, procurement or stock control role, preferably in a manufacturing or logistics environment
  2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  3. Proficient in the use of ERP/inventory management systems
  4. Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  5. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
