About the role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanic to join our team at Kirribilly Viticulture Pty Ltd in Auburn, SA. As a full-time Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our fleet of vineyard machinery and equipment. This is a crucial role in supporting our operations and ensuring our machinery is running at optimal performance.

What you'll be doing

  1. Performing scheduled and preventative maintenance on a variety of vineyard machinery and equipment
  2. Troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical issues, and carrying out repairs in a timely manner
  3. Maintaining detailed records of all maintenance and repair work
  4. Collaborating with the operations team to ensure machinery is available and operational when needed
  5. Maintaining a safe and organised workshop environment
  6. Some out of hours/shift work may be required during peak periods (eg vintage)

What we're looking for

  1. Qualified Mechanic or proven experience in a similar role
  2. Ideally 1-2 years of experience with vineyard machinery and viticultural operations
  3. Strong knowledge of machinery and equipment, including tractors, harvesters, sprayers, and other vineyard implements would be an advantage
  4. Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  7. Commitment to workplace health and safety
  8. Trade certificates or equivalent skills in servicing and repairing vineyard machinery and equipment preferred
  9. Australian work authorisation required for this position
