Description

G&G Mining Fabrication are looking for Boilermaker / Welders with experience in manufacturing and maintenance environments for an immediate start

A part of the global specialist steel manufacturer SSAB, G&G aims to be the leading quality supplier and maintainer of mining attachments in Western Australia. We are recognised specialists in the manufacture, repair and refurbishment of attachments for mobile mining equipment and the production and supply of associated products.

We have both casual and full time opportunities available for a combination of site and workshop based work.

Requirements

You will bring:

  • Proven welding / fabricating experience with a relevant trade certificate and strong examples of welding/fabricating within your resume.
  • GMAW and fabrication with heavy and Q&T steels including Hardox (all job offers will be subject to a weld test and must pass AS1554).
  • Willingness to travel when required for on-site projects / field service.
  • Ability to interpret drawings, but also have the ability to work without drawings.
  • Ability to take direction well and strong intuition.
  • A strong work ethic with a friendly, positive attitude, as well as being a reliable self-starter.
  • Your own trade tools and welding gear (adflow mask and overalls/jacket/apron).
  • Experience using hand tools and power tools.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work well within a team environment.
  • Current drivers licence.

Ideally you will also have:

  • Additional qualifications including (but not limited to) Heavy Rigid Licence, Medium Rigid Licence, White Card, High Risk (Working at Heights, Confined Space etc) & Forklift tickets. Heavy Rigid and Risk Risk licences highly advantageous.
  • Existing inductions for major WA mining companies, as well as associated mine site experience and qualifications.
  • Additional skills and experience including cross-skilling of other manufacturing and maintenance trades.
  • Available for an immediate start.
  • All candidates must have full work rights for working in Australia (either as an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident).
  • Position will be based at Hazelmere, Perth facility, with site travel.
