Are you a hands-on sales leader ready to drive growth and inspire a high-performing team? We're seeking a Regional Sales Manager for our Northern region (covering Central Coast up to Lismore), who will be responsible for delivering the sales budget and leading a small team to success.
About the Role:
Ideally based in Newcastle or surrounds, as our new Regional Sales Manager, you'll be out on the road, building relationships, chasing new business opportunities, and leading by example. You'll manage and develop the sales function across all customer segments - Merchant, Builder/Residential, and Commercial - ensuring we achieve budgeted sales revenues, margins, and market share growth. You'll also play a key role in developing and implementing strategies to grow each segment, while coaching and mentoring your team to deliver outstanding results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute business plans to achieve growth targets and customer plans across the region.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, business partners, and industry stakeholders.
- Lead your team in preparing and delivering compelling presentations and proposals to win new business.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Supply teams to ensure seamless customer engagement.
- Drive business development activities, negotiate deals, and ensure effective pricing and agreements.
- Monitor budgets, report on variances, and recommend solutions to maximise efficiency and profitability.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes, providing insights and recommendations.
- Foster a high-performing, engaged sales team through regular coaching, mentoring, and performance reviews.
- Optimise use of our CRM platform to capture meaningful business intelligence and identify growth opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and company policies.
About You
As our successful candidate you will have:
- Significant experience as a Sales Manager in the building or construction industry.
- Tertiary qualification in commerce (Business/Marketing) or equivalent experience.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop others.
- Proven ability to build relationships at all levels, both internally and externally.
- Commercially astute, with a track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
