About the Role:

The Lan-Grove Office Training Centre, trading as The Sydney Business and Travel Academy, SBTA Culinary Institute, SBTA Community Care, and The Sydney English Language Academy (RTO ID 90412, CRICOS Provider Code 0018A), is one of Australia's longest-established education providers, proudly celebrating 40 years of excellence in 2025. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced RTO Compliance Assistant to support our established compliance team. As our organisation continues to expand across a broader range of sectors and qualifications, this role will provide essential assistance in ensuring ongoing compliance with the VET Quality Framework and related standards. Working closely with the compliance team, you will contribute to assessment development, maintain compliance documentation, support quality assurance activities, and assist with audit preparations to ensure our RTO consistently meets all regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Keep up to date with VET sector regulations, ASQA standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Assist the compliance team with validation and moderation activities to maintain assessment quality.
  • Support the implementation of regulatory updates by preparing documentation and communicating changes to staff.
  • Assist with the review and improvement of assessment tools, learning materials, and training resources.
  • Help maintain compliance documentation, including trainer/assessor registers and scope of registration records.
  • Support quality assurance processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in preparing documentation and evidence for internal and external audits.
  • Provide administrative support for compliance reporting and data entry into student management systems.
  • Contribute to the organisation and facilitation of staff professional development sessions related to compliance.
  • Provide student support assistance where required

Qualifications & Essential Criteria:

  • TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or higher.

  • Demonstrated experience in an RTO compliance role.

  • Strong knowledge of the VET Quality Framework and ASQA standards.

  • Experience with student management systems.

  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse organisational environment.

Desirable Skills & Attributes:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with the ability to adapt to new technologies.
  • Experience in assessment tool design and development.
