Lead Architect – High-End Residential + More Development Projects

Saf Developments is a recognised leader in delivering exceptional luxury homes and bespoke residential spaces across Sydney. With a strong pipeline of premium projects about to commence, we are seeking a Registered Architect who can confidently lead, take accountability, and deliver excellence across all project types, sizes, and stages of development.

This is a role for someone who not only thrives on design but also brings deep knowledge of construction methodology, detailing, and project delivery.

About the Role

As a senior member of our team, you will be responsible for guiding projects from concept design through DA, detailed documentation, tender, and construction. Working closely with our in-house construction team, external consultants, and valued clients, you will lead projects with authority, ensuring both design integrity and buildability at every stage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and take accountability for multiple projects across all phases of design and delivery.
  • Develop innovative and practical architectural solutions tailored to client and site requirements.
  • Oversee and produce comprehensive construction documentation with a focus on precision and buildability.
  • Coordinate with consultants, authorities, and contractors to ensure compliance and seamless delivery.
  • Provide technical expertise on construction methodology and detailing.
  • Manage timelines, budgets, and client expectations while maintaining design excellence.
  • Mentor and support junior staff where required.

About You

You are a Registered Architect who combines strong design talent with rigorous technical ability and leadership skills. You are detail-focused, proactive, and thrive in an environment where accountability, collaboration, and quality are paramount.

You will bring:

  • Architectural registration in Australia (preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years' post-registration experience (luxury residential and/or commercial).
  • Proven ability to lead projects of varying scale and complexity, from boutique residences to multi-unit developments.
  • Strong technical capability, particularly in construction detailing and methodology.
  • Proficiency in Archicad (mandatory).
  • Excellent knowledge of BCA/NCC, local planning controls, and compliance pathways.
  • Outstanding communication and client liaison skills, with a collaborative leadership style.
