We're seeking a Business Development Manager with a strong background in heavy industry: Demolition, remediation, mining services or EPC, who thrives in dynamic environments and builds trust with ease.

This is more than a sales role. It's an opportunity to shape growth, forge meaningful industry relationships, and drive innovation in procurement and client engagement at the forefront of some of the most interesting and complex demolition, remediation, and civil projects across Australia.

About The Role:

Reporting directly to the Pre Contracts Manager, this role is pivotal in expanding our industrial footprint. You'll be responsible for identifying and cultivating new business opportunities, leveraging your industry insight and emotional intelligence to build rapport and deliver results.

You'll be part of a collaborative team, with flexibility to work remotely after an initial onboarding period at our Head Office in Yatala. Interstate travel will be required to engage with prospects and clients face-to-face.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Drive business growth through targeted outreach, networking, and industry engagement.
  • Research and analyse market opportunities to identify high-value prospects.
  • Develop and execute procurement strategies that lead to successful tender outcomes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the industrial sector.
  • Represent the company with professionalism and authenticity in all client interactions.
  • Travel interstate as required to meet with prospects and clients.

  • Demonstrated success in business development within heavy industry (demolitions, EPCM, mining).
  • Strong emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills—able to build trust and rapport quickly.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to tailor your approach to suit diverse audiences.
  • Resilience, ambition, and a results-oriented attitude.
  • Organised and process-driven, with a disciplined approach to pipeline management.
  • Comfortable initiating cold calls, attending industry events, and forging entry relationships.
