Capacity Building and Engagement Coordinator

Reporting to the Executive Officer the suitable candidate will coordinate training, workshops, the AADANT annual conference, build partnerships across the member sector and support member engagement through development of communications, newsletters, events and manage our digital platforms.
This person will also help shape future development opportunities and contribute to AADANT's advocacy and project work.
The ideal candidate will bring experience in workforce development, training coordination and community member sector engagement with strong communication and relationship building skills. Knowledge of the AOD and broader health and community services sector will be highly regarded along with cultural awareness and confidence working with diverse communities.
This is a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact across the Northern Territory, working in a collaborative environment that values initiative, creativity and positive outcomes for those impacted by alcohol and other drugs.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong communication skills in written, verbal and digital
- Demonstrated ability to manage training, events and workshops
- Proficiency in using social media, website management and data reporting tools
- Excellence relationship and stakeholder building skills
Desirable
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g., Population Health, Education, Social Work, Community Development)
- Knowledge of NT AOD Community Service Networks
- Lived or living experience of the alcohol and other drug system
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are strongly encouraged to apply
