ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Lead Educator, you will take a leading role in creating and implementing engaging learning experience for children aged 0-5 years (Nursery to Kindergarten). You mentor and guide a team of educators in our Montessori inspired learning environment.

• Room based, 15 months to 3 years

Responsibilities:

Lead Educator

• Lead the preparation, implementation, and evaluation of developmentally appropriate programs.
• Mentor and support a team of educators, ensuring best practices and continuous improvement.
• Foster a stimulating, safe, and interactive learning environment for children and families.
• Record observations of individual children or groups for program planning purposes for qualified staff.
• Set up, facilitate, and clean down after our play-based activities
• Create a friendly, stimulating and interactive learning environment.
• Provide a safe and welcoming environment for all children and families
• Develop trusting and honest relationships with children, families, colleagues, management and community stakeholders.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and team meetings.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards.

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Hold an ACECQA recognised Early Childhood Education and Care qualification (Diploma or equivalent).
• Hold or be willing to obtain Blue Card
• Hold or be willing to obtain First Aid/CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma training
• Previous experience in understanding the needs of children with additional needs
• Knowledge and understanding of the EYLF, NQS, and Child Protection laws
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
• A genuine passion for working with young children and a commitment to their development and well-being
• Ability to work as part of a collaborative team in a dynamic environment
• Flexibility in relation to working hours (availability between 6am and 6.30pm)
• Experience with Childcare and Xplor and Playground (desirable)
