Halbuild Pty Ltd is a construction management company based in Sydney with a strong foundation of industry experience. We specialise in delivering diverse projects across Government, Commercial, and Private sectors, including fit-outs, refurbishments, hazardous material abatement, complex roof replacements, and heritage remediation. With an exciting increase in upcoming work, we are looking for a Contract Administrator to join our team for an immediate start, with a focus on a major Federal Government project based in Williamtown.

About the Role

This role presents an exciting opportunity for a highly organised and process-driven Contract Administrator to play a key role in a Federal Government project, working closely with the Project Manager, Site Manager, subcontractors and clients. You'll be responsible for managing contracts, RFIs, and project documentation to ensure accuracy, efficiency and compliance with client requirements.

The position involves regular travel to site in Newcastle and offers flexibility to suit the right candidate. It is ideal for someone either:

  • Based in Sydney and able to travel to Newcastle weekly; or
  • Based in Newcastle and available to attend the Sydney office at least once a week.

Your role will require you to:

  • Manage and deliver projects alongside the Project Manager in line with project documentation; considering quality, safety and environmental requirements.
  • Assist in controlling a project, on and off site, within time, quality, cost parameters.
  • Communication and coordination of trades, suppliers and consultants within strict timeframes.
  • Review and assessing of trade scopes and recommend findings to Project Manager.
  • Review, maintain and update construction program, project registers and project documentation.
  • ·      Management and development of relationships with all stakeholders and clients.

About You:

  • General knowledge of WHS standards & regulations.
  • Minimum 2+ years of construction industry experience.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work well as both a team player and a team leader.
  • Ability to adapt and problem solve in order to demonstrate our proactive approach.
  • Australian Citizenship and an unrestricted driver's license.
  • Must be able to obtain NSW Police Clearance and DCAC clearance.
  • Computer literate with general skills with Office suite and MS Projects.
  • General First Aid & CPR.
