About Chateau and the role:

Chateau is a full-service builder-developer delivering projects from site acquisition through to construction. As our pipeline continues to grow, we're looking for a skilled and reliable Senior Contract Administrator to join our team and help deliver quality outcomes across a range of exciting projects but mostly focusing on some luxury industrial warehouses we will be building in Bundamba QLD.

This is a full-time, on-site role. You'll be responsible for managing contracts end-to-end — from review and negotiation through to administration and compliance — while working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to spec.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Manage head contracts and subcontracts, including review, negotiation, and administration
  • Oversee the procurement process, preparing scopes of work and tender packages
  • Process progress claims, variations, and EOTs accurately and in a timely manner
  • Ensure all contractual obligations are met and documented correctly
  • Liaise with site teams, consultants, subcontractors, and project managers
  • Monitor project compliance and cost performance
  • Assist in commercial decision-making and contract close-out
  • Maintain up-to-date records and provide regular reporting

What We're Looking For:

  • 3–5+ years' experience as a Contract Administrator in the construction industry
  • Strong understanding of contract law, head contracts, and subcontract agreements
  • Proven experience in procurement, cost control, and project compliance
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and time management abilities
  • Proficiency in construction software (e.g., Jobpac, Aconex, Procore) is an advantage
  • Relevant qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or related field
