About The Role:
As a senior team member within the Data Platforms team, you will be responsible for leading a cross-functional agile delivery squad for data engineering, analytics use cases and machine learning initiatives that underpin the strategic data roadmap for Bunnings.
You will provide thought leadership, mentoring and development to a team of data engineers and platform specialists to drive innovation and improvement.
You will lead the development, documentation, availability, and subsequent maintenance of core data assets, data applications and machine learning use cases within the Bunnings Enterprise Data Platform.

Your Work Will Include:
- Being responsible for delivery of projects and initiatives within budget
- Leading the development of data pipelines that support analytics, machine learning and AI across the business
- Collaborating with data scientists, analysts, architects and business stakeholders to understand data needs to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions
- Championing best practices in data engineering, CI/CD and cloud platforms
- Providing thought leadership on emerging technologies and trends
- Coordinating delivery in an agile environment and ensuring projects land on time
- Uplifting engineering standards and mentoring your team
About You:

You'll Need:
- Proven experience in data engineering or analytics, working with large and complex data problems
- Strong coding skills in Python and SQL
- Experience with cloud platforms and dev-ops practices
- Experience leveraging modern distributed data processing frameworks and working with contemporary database technologies
- Solid understanding of data architecture, warehousing and modelling
- Proven experience leading teams and delivering projects in agile environments
