Full Time Permanent Position

This is an exciting opportunity to own and lead the data engineering function within a retail-driven business environment. You'll be the go-to expert, building pipelines, shaping the platform, and ensuring data is accurate, reliable, and ready to drive business performance.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working end-to-end, thrives on responsibility, and wants their work to make a direct commercial impact.

What you'll be doing:

  • Designing, building, and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines to ensure high-quality data flow across the organisation.
  • Working with Snowflake as the core data platform, alongside SQL Server and cloud-based tools.
  • Partnering with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver data that directly drives performance.
  • Owning the end-to-end data engineering function, ensuring everything is right-first-time.

What we're looking for:

  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer with strong skills in Snowflake, SQL, and ETL/SSIS.
  • Strong coding experience in Python (or similar).
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
  • Solid understanding of data modelling, governance, and the importance of accuracy in business-critical environments.
  • Experience working as the sole Data Engineer in a function, or leading the development of a data capability.
  • Excellent communication skills and the confidence to work independently with senior stakeholders.
  • Retail industry experience is highly regarded.
