Converge International is a leader in providing workplace health and wellbeing and people risk management solutions. We assist some of Australia's largest industry, government and corporate clients in supporting their people in building healthy workplaces and resolving their people issues. We provide a range of Employee Assistance Programs, counselling and crisis response services. In addition we provide Consulting Services including conflict resolution, coaching, career services and HR Consulting.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused individual with 2 years of HR advisory experience to join our People Culture and Learning team. Reporting to the Senior People Partner, you will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, have a friendly can-do approach and be able to multi-task and prioritise competing demands.
This role will see you delivering end-to-end HR support for a designated client group, providing the full range of general Human Resource services and activities.
Your key responsibilities will include:
• Provide advice to managers and staff on the interpretation of legislation, Award and policies, e.g. NES, Health Professionals and Support Services Award, leave entitlements, exits and terminations, OHS and more.
• Support people managers with employment relations matters, e.g., performance management, work health and safety, workplace behaviour and disputes.
• Provide advice on internal HR process and procedures, e.g., applying for leave, internal vacancies, performance review process, incidents and injuries, L&D and more.
• Deliver strategic HR initiatives such as engagement surveys, delivery of leadership programs and staff professional development.
• Cyclical HR operational activities such as HR project support, onboarding and exit interviews, and responding to HR queries in the People inbox.
• Prepare regular HR reporting to drive data-driven decision making.
You will be an agile team player who:
• Has minimum 2 years of experience in generalist HR practices including policy interpretation, HR administration, recruitment, and selection
• Demonstrated experience in providing sound advice and partnering with stakeholders to deliver HR solutions and outcomes
• Working knowledge of HR operational practices
• Experience in providing HR policy advice to staff and managers. Experience providing HR support to a contact centre is highly regarded
• Highly skilled in supporting stakeholders and clients (internal and external)
• High level organisational skills
• High level verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrate flexibility and initiative with the ability to think 'outside the square'
• Ability to work in a self-directed manner and manage a high volume of multiple tasks to tight deadlines
• Ability to build and maintain effective relationships across all levels
• High attention to detail and outcome focused
