About the Role

• Roster Commitment: 1 in every 4–5 weekends (approx. 40 hours/month)
• Shift Structure: Friday 8:30am to Monday 8:00am, typically split into 3 x 12-hour clinical shifts per month, with an additional 8-hour non-clinical shift every two months
• On-Call Requirement: Must be available on-site within a safe and reasonable timeframe, in accordance with the Staff Specialist Award
• Roster Adjustments: Any changes require agreement from the Director of Intensive Care and Director of Medical Services at Maitland Hospital
• Cross-Site Work: Based on service needs and MOU, there is capacity for rotation between Maitland ICU and John Hunter Hospital ICU

Essential Criteria

• Primary medical degree registered with AHPRA
• Fellowship of the College of Intensive Care Medicine of Australia and New Zealand (FCICM)
• Recent and comprehensive experience in Intensive Care Medicine
• Commitment to providing high-quality care to the Maitland and Lower Hunter Valley communities
• Willingness to participate in the weekend roster as outlined
