Kim's Tiling Supplies and My Tile Market are well-established retailers in the tiling materials industry, proudly serving customers for over 25 years. As our retail business continues to grow, we are seeking a capable and enthusiastic Junior Accountant.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or further develop their accounting career in a dynamic retail environment. You'll gain hands-on experience in key areas such as accounts payable, sales reconciliation, and daily financial operations.

Key Responsibilities: Mainly focus on Account payable side

Invoice & Payment Processing

  • Review and enter supplier invoices with proper coding and approvals.
  • Match invoices to purchase orders (POs) and delivery receipts (3-way match).
  • Schedule and process vendor payments via cheque, EFT, or wire transfer.
  • Ensure timely payments and compliance with payment terms and internal policies..

Payment Allocation

  • Accurately allocate payments to vendor accounts in the accounting system.
  • Reconcile any payment discrepancies with suppliers.
  • Maintain clear and accurate records of all outgoing payments.

Bank Reconciliation

  • Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations, ensuring that all outgoing transactions are properly recorded and matched to bank statements.
  • Investigate and resolve unreconciled items, missing payments, or duplicate entries.

General & Administrative Support

  • Maintain vendor files, contracts, and payment terms.
  • Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment-related issues.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing requested documentation.
  • Match invoices to purchase orders (POs) and delivery receipts (3-way match).
  • Schedule and process vendor payments via Bank Transfer, Credit card
  • Ensure timely payments and compliance with payment terms and internal policies.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Basic understanding of the accounts payable cycle and general accounting principles
  • Familiarity with accounting software (MYOB, NetSuite)
  • Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Common Tools Used:

  • Accounting/ERP software: NetSuite
  • Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)

Job Types: Full-time, Graduate
