The Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) is seeking a part-time Manager (0.2 fte) to join the Performance and Analytics Unit. The Manager, Performance and Analytics Unit, oversees the design, delivery, and ongoing enhancement of QCAA's analysis, reporting, and quality assurance initiatives, ensuring data integrity through strong policy and quality control measures. The role also provides expert guidance and innovative data management solutions, working collaboratively with stakeholders to enable evidence-based decision-making across Queensland's education system.
What You Will Do
In the Manager role, you will:
- Lead the design, implementation, and continual improvement of QCAA's analysis, reporting, and quality assurance programs, from project development to the distribution of findings and recommendations.
- Develop and maintain quality assurance and improvement policies to ensure data accuracy and consistency across all QCAA data sets.
- Lead substantial projects requiring the extraction and analysis of complex data to provide timely, evidence-based advice for various aspects of the Queensland education system.
- Oversee the development and management of the team's internal database to coordinate quality control processes for large-scale datasets, including those used for NAPLAN, Senior Education Profiles, and external assessments.
- Provide expert advice and recommendations to the Authority and stakeholders on analysis, reporting, and data management projects.
- Collaborate with internal units and external organisations to address data collection, analysis, management, and reporting needs, and support school performance improvement.
- Foster a culture of innovation within the Performance Analytics Unit, encouraging the development of new approaches to analysis and reporting.
What we are looking for
The QCAA is committed to selecting the person best suited to the role and to furthering equity and diversity. We strongly encourage applications from all gender groups, Aboriginal people, Torres Strait Islander people, people from culturally diverse backgrounds and people with all abilities.
The Ideal Candidate For This Role

- Brings people together to build new solutions through testing and refinement (stimulates ideas and innovation).
- Demonstrates flexibility in response to change and supports the workforce to embrace new expectations through clarity of the intended outcomes (leads change in complex environments).
- Considers the future skills required to deliver program objectives and implements strategies to support succession of critical roles and capabilities (develops and mobilises talent).
- Works collaboratively to develop clear and shared objectives that inspire collective ownership for delivery of quality outcomes (drives accountability and outcomes).
