The Program Delivery Office is responsible for delivering key inter-governmental reform projects and cross-portfolio program commitments on behalf of the Ministry of Health. The unit is situated within Government Relations, Strategy and violence Prevention Branch, NSW Ministry of Health.
We are seeking highly motivated Senior Project Officer to join the Program Delivery Office to work across a dynamic portfolio as outlined below.
Across the position you will be involved in:
- Developing and supporting the implementation of best practice policies, programs, projects, and activities for the Ministry of Health, public health organisations, and related government agencies to support the achievement of NSW Health's objectives
- Designing and delivering on priority projects to prevent and respond to violence, abuse and neglect with a particular focus on expanding and improving access to existing and future specialist domestic and family violence services for Aboriginal families and communities
This is a unique opportunity to improve outcomes for Aboriginal women, either through expanding existing programs or ensuring Aboriginal communities play an active role in the development of future policy, programs and services.
The ideal applicant will:
- Have a strong understanding of the context of Aboriginal culture in NSW and are able to provide sound policy advice on related matters
- Have a background in public policy, and an understanding of the NSW government health strategies and priorities
- Ensure commitment to working in partnership with Aboriginal stakeholders.
Clerk Grade, 9/10, commencing salary of $129,464 - $142,665 p.a. plus supper and annual leave loading.
