Salary Range:- $60K - $80K
Our client " Storybook Holdings, Trading as " The Cottage Café & Restaurant" is seeking an experienced chef to join our team. The position is permanent full-time and family owned and operated Café restaurant in Berrima NSW. To be considered for the position you must have extensive experience working in a busy restaurant kitchen.
The duties you will be expected to complete in this position include but are not limited to:
Responsibilities:
-Planning menus and estimating food and labour costs
-Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
-Costing menu items and sourcing quality products at competitive prices
- Discussing food preparation issues with Managers and Kitchen staff ·
-Demonstrating techniques required for the operation of an efficient kitchen
- Enforcing hygiene regulations in line with WHS regulations and best practice
-Managing recipe development to ensure the right combination and quantity of food ·
Experience and Requirements:
· A passion and love of cooking
· 2+ years experience
· Strong communication skills
· Willingness to lead and develop other staff members
· A team player
· Be able to work morning, evening, weekend and public holiday shifts
