Lead Senior Business Analyst | Financial Services | 6-Month Initial Engagement

Location Agnostic – Work From Any Major State in Australia

Hybrid Work Arrangements – 2 Days in Office

Our client, a top-tier financial institution known for investing in their people and culture, is seeking an experienced Lead Senior Business Analyst to drive long-term transformation initiatives across the business.

Key Responsibilities:


• Lead business analysis activities across large-scale transformation programs


• Gather, analyse, and document business requirements, workflows, and processes


• Develop business cases, functional specifications, user stories, and executive-level reporting


• Facilitate workshops, process mapping, and solution design discussions


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, product managers, and business architecture functions


• Influence stakeholders and guide decision-making to meet project outcomes


• Support Agile delivery teams with planning, refinement, and sprint activities

Skills & Experience:


• Proven experience as a Lead Business Analyst, ideally across major transformation projects


• Strong background in financial services or superannuation


• Demonstrated understanding of product management and business architecture


• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills at all organisational levels


• Curious, proactive, organised, and able to drive outcomes in complex environments


• Experience with Agile or Lean delivery methodologies


• Proficiency with BA tools including:

– Process mapping (e.g., Visio with BPMN notation)

– Visual collaboration tools (e.g., MIRO)

– Agile planning software (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
