About the Opportunity

Join a
Band-1 Disputes & Investigations practice
in Brisbane, working on some of the most complex and high-profile construction and infrastructure disputes in the market. You'll gain exposure to:

  • Commercial and contractual disputes
  • Infrastructure, mining, property development, and renewable energy projects
  • Arbitration and Supreme Court litigation across Australia
  • Alternative dispute resolution, including expert determination, mediations, SEAM, DRBs/DABs
  • Claims and dispute resolution during project delivery phases
  • Adjudication under Security of Payment legislation.

The Team

The litigation team is recognised for delivering
strategic, commercially-minded advice
across major construction and project disputes. The team operates with a collaborative, flat structure, offering strong access to senior lawyers and a culture that values teamwork, initiative, and professional growth.

The Role

As part of the litigation practice, you will:

  • Advise clients on complex disputes across construction, infrastructure, mining, and energy projects
  • Manage large-scale matters and work collaboratively with senior lawyers and client teams
  • Engage in alternative dispute resolution processes, including mediation, DRBs/DABs, and expert determinations
  • Contribute to business development activities, including pitch documents, article writing, industry events, and seminars
  • Support junior team members and help drive the growth and reputation of the practice

Requirements

  • Experience in construction and project disputes, litigation, and claim resolution, ideally from a top-tier, national or international firm
  • Ability to manage larger matters effectively and work collaboratively internally and externally
  • Alignment with core values of professionalism, collaboration, and integrity
  • Willingness to participate in business development and networking activities
