The Opportunity
We're seeking an experienced Contracts Administrator to join our New Build team in Sydney. This is a hands-on role for a proactive and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, team-based environment. You'll be responsible for managing all aspects of contract administration across significant commercial construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee contract administration on a new build project
- Prepare, review, and execute contracts in collaboration with project team, internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with contract terms, manage variations, and mitigate risks
- Lead negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers
- Provide advice on contractual obligations and commercial strategy
- Administer project finances in collaboration with the project team
- Mentor and support junior team members
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting
- Drive continuous improvement in commercial and contract management processes
About You
You're a commercially savvy professional with a strong understanding of construction contracts and a collaborative approach to project delivery. Keen to learn with a positive team working attitude.
Skills and Experience:
- 2+ years as a Contracts Administrator or Quantity Surveyor in construction
- Experience with projects of varying value and complexity
- Advanced proficiency in project financial tools
- Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
- Demonstrated leadership in mentoring junior team members
- Knowledge of contract law, relevant codes, and standards
- Preference to have experience using; Jobpac & Payapps
Qualifications:
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Law, or a related field
- Postgraduate qualifications in Construction, Property, or Law (desirable)
