Not all heroes wear capes — but plenty of them use toilet paper
Want to challenge yourself at a purpose-led scale up AND make a difference in the world? Come join the revolootion

Funny name, serious business
We make eco-friendly products and donate 50% of our profits to provide clean water and help build toilets for the billions of people who lack proper access. So far, we've contributed over $18 million AUD (roughly $12.5 million USD) to fund sanitation projects around the globe. Basically, we're really good at doing good.

With hubs in Australia, the Philippines, China, the US, UK and Europe, our amazing team of 200+ work to make the biggest possible impact for people and the planet. Over the next couple of years, we're hoping to increase our annual donation tenfold to get us closer to our dream of everyone in the world having access to clean water and sanitation services.

A bit about the role
Are you a creative who's passionate about driving measurable impact? As our
Senior Designer/Art Director
(
Growth Marketing),
you'll blend bold creativity with strategic insights to create designs that directly fuel our business growth. Your work won't just look good—it will be a key driver of results, helping us increase clicks, conversions, and sales.

Every asset you create will be a critical part of our growth engine, allowing us to expand our reach and donate even more to our mission of providing clean water and toilets for all.

You'll mentor a Growth Marketing Designer and report to our Marketing Design Lead, using your talent to make a tangible difference every day. We are a remote-first company, but this position requires you to be
based in Australia
, where our global creative team is located.

If you worked here this past month here are some things you might have been involved in

  • Led a redesign of our key landing pages and saw a measurable improvement in our Conversion Rate (CR) and Click-Through-Rate (CTR).
  • Mentored a designer, helping them to master graphic design fundamentals and grow their confidence
  • Successfully ideated, art directed and rolled out a high-quality promotion campaign that was on-brief and on-brand — collaborating with copy, video and marketing teams along the way.
  • Identified and implemented a new design tool to help with effectiveness, scalability and innovation.
  • Collaborated with our growth leads to tackle local challenges in paid social channels, iterating and pivoting creative based on performance metrics.
  • Supported on a limited-edition marketing campaign, managing your workload and competing priorities to ensure on-time delivery.

Let's talk about you
You are a strategic, data-driven creative
You don't just create beautiful designs; you create designs that
perform
. You have a deep understanding of what drives results across various growth marketing channels like email marketing, paid social and landing pages. You're skilled in using data to inform your creative decisions and are passionate about continuous improvement and optimisation.

You are an influential mentor and effective communicator
You have a talent for mentoring and guiding other designers, helping them develop their skills and confidence. You communicate effectively with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure projects run smoothly from kickoff to completion. Your ability to articulate creative recommendations and ideas is key to your success.

You get things done
You proactively identify opportunities to improve processes and workflows to increase creative efficiency and innovation. You have a systematic approach to project management and asset delivery, ensuring high-quality assets are delivered on time. You can juggle multiple priorities and take ownership of projects from concept to completion.

You are relentlessly adaptable
You are comfortable providing multiple iterations and pivoting quickly when needed. You apply creative rigor to all briefs and are always looking for innovative ways to tackle business challenges with design. You are flexible and can adjust to feedback to deliver the best possible results.

You give a crap
Do you want your work to make the world a better place? Do you want to work with other people who feel the same way? What a coincidence — us too

Why should you work with us?
First off, as a certified B Corp, we work to make a difference every day while maintaining the highest standards of social and environmental impact. With our most recent score of 125.5 we're in
very
good company with other
exceptional
B Corps around the world.

We also believe that helping to make the world a better place should be rewarded accordingly – that's why we offer competitive, market informed salaries, meaningful support towards healthcare for our team around the world, generous paid leave, tailored learning and development opportunities, and free toilet paper (yes, you read that right).

Our engagement surveys (thanks Culture Amp) tell us that our team is really proud (95%) to work for Who Gives A Crap and, well,
we
couldn't be more proud of that.

Have you made it this far?
If you're still reading, we think there's a strong chance you might be our kind of person. Here's the thing, though — research suggests that 60% of women and underrepresented folks might have already talked themselves out of applying. Even if you don't check every box above, we want to encourage you to introduce yourself. We believe a diversity of perspectives and experiences makes a team stronger — and the stronger our team, the closer we are to delivering toilets and clean water for all.
