The Opportunity
Urbis has an opportunity for a Research Analyst to join our Economics & Property team in Brisbane. In this role, you'll support the broader team in diverse consulting projects, supporting clients to deliver a wide range of retail, commercial, industrial, mixed-use and residential development projects,
This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for data-driven insights, excellent communication skills, and a genuine interest in economics can help shape cities and the communities.
You Will Be
- Undertaking forecasting and modelling of costs and benefits associated with infrastructure and other place shaping projects
- Research economic, social and environmental trends, policies, and urban development case studies.
- Performing qualitative and quantitative analysis from a wide range of data sources.
- Collating and presenting data insights to provide evidence-based insights to clients in an engaging manner.
- Assisting in the preparation of proposals, reports and advice.
- Independently undertaking basis data analyses with attention to detail.
- Assisting in the preparation of engaging reports, market outlooks and presentations.
- Working part of a collaborative team, including with other business units such as a planning, design, social policy and valuations.
- Get exposure to a diverse range of clients and projects.
About You
- Tertiary qualifications in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics or related field
- Strong quantitative and forecasting skills and a high level of proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Capable research and writing skills
- Data science skills are highly regarded
