Battery/Roadside Technician Contractor Wanted

This position is exclusively for contractors. We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Battery/Roadside Assistance Technician to join our team. This is a Contractor-only position. The service area covers Glass House Mountains to Noosa (applicant must reside within this serviceable area or be willing to relocate). This position is ideal for a highly motivated, enthusiastic, respectful, and reliable individual working in a fast-paced environment to meet KPIs.

Responsibilities:

  • Battery replacements

- Jump starts

- Tyre changes

- Emergency fuel

- Lockouts

Required Qualifications:

  • Company Pty Ltd ACN (or ability to apply for one)

- Own white van or lockable ute (company can rent a vehicle to the successful applicant at a weekly fee)

- Own business insurance

- Residency within the Glasshouse Mountains to Noosa area (or willingness to relocate)

- Australian Permanent Residency or Citizenship required for this contractor position

Work Schedule:

  • 7 days a week, 7 am to 7 pm

-7 pm to midnight available

Work Environment:

  • Fast-paced environment

  • KPIs must be met

  • Applicants who do not believe they can meet the required standards should not apply

Required Skills:

  • Battery fitment experience or roadside assistance experience or mechanical background

- Strong diagnostic skills and attention to detail

  • Strong communication skills

  • Excellent customer service

  • Ability to manage time effectively

- Proficient in using App and email system for job submission

  • Proficient in using Square payment system (or training can be provided)

Company Provided:

- All necessary tools, including an air compressor, jump pack, battery tester, and batteries.

- A mobile phone for communication.

Personal Protective Equipment:

- A high-visibility shirt.

  • Steel-capped boots.

- Traditional tradie work pants or shorts.

Vehicle Requirements:

  • A self-owned van with a maximum height of two metres, suitable for accessing underground car parks.

  • The van must not be more than ten years old.

  • The company can provide a van at a weekly fee.

Vehicle Costs:

  • If using a self-owned vehicle, all running costs will be covered by the driver.

  • If using a company vehicle at a weekly fee, fuel will be at the contractor's cost, while all other costs will be covered by the company.

Personality:

  • - A friendly and outgoing personality.
  • - Strong work ethics.
  • - Neat and tidy personal presentation.

Driver's Licence:-

  • A full open manual driver's licence with a clean driving record, demonstrating proficiency in driving a manual car.

- Clean driving record must be free from major traffic offences

Training:

  • Training will be provided, but the duration will depend on the time required to familiarise yourself with our procedures. This training will be conducted on the road.
