Project Manager - FIFO

Minecon recruitment is partnering with a well established Project management and construction company who prides themselves on their high standards of work and culture, we are seeking an experience project manager to join an established team in the Northern territory and be a key member of the leadership team.

The Ideal candidate will have Proven experience delivering Multidisciplinary projects in remote locations and have an engineering back ground, either civil or mechanical.

This position would suit a Candidate with a well rounded skillset with previous exposure to various work scopes - E&I, Modular construction, waste water infrastructure.

Initially this Role is FIFO from Brisbane on an 8:6 roster. scopes of work range in size, However you will need to be capable of managing up $2m of works per month.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comprehensive project planning, work schedules , and budgeting
  • Lead a team of Supervisors, trades & labour to deliver works on time and within budget
  • Ability to manage contracts and deliver works within accordance of contracts'
  • Strong understanding of WHS policies and compliance
  • Participate in BID / No Bid process for coming opportunities
  • Business development - able to identify and pursue additional opportunities and contribute to the tendering process
  • Monitor project performance - continuously tracking progress against defined KPI's and goals
  • Strong risk management skills, identify and mitigate potential risks
  • Commercials - identify and submit variations, claims collaborating with contract team
  • Stake holder engagement - maintain positive and effective communication with clients, subcontractors and internal teams
  • Resource management and allocation

The Ideal candidate:

  • Proven experience in a similar position, delivering similar scopes of work in regional locations
  • strong understanding of the challenges faced on these type of projects
  • strong people management skills
  • Bachelor of civil or mechanical engineering, construction management desirable
  • 5+ years experience is similar roles, ideally within remote or regional projects
  • Formal training or certification in project management ( Cert IV or similar) advantageous
  • able to commit to a FIFO roster (8:6)
