Located in the Barossa Valley, South Australia, Laucke Mills is a family-owned stockfeed milling business, producing a range of quality stock and poultry feeds for both the domestic and commercial markets, supporting the ever-growing demand across Australia.

The role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role holds the critical responsibility for being the first point of contact within the business; answering incoming calls and greeting all visitors on arrival, directing them to the appropriate resources in a friendly and professional manner. This role also takes accountability for monitoring the weigh bridge activity and entering bulk orders into the system, among other administration tasks.

Key duties include the following:

  • Answering and transferring incoming phone calls punctually and efficiently, in a professional manner, communicating with customers and assisting them as required
  • Distributing incoming emails and other communications accordingly
  • Receive bulk sales orders via phone and facilitate with Production Manager
  • Complete incoming and outgoing weighbridge dockets, confirming weights for suppliers and customers who pick-up/drop-off materials during business hours
  • General administration duties including banking, daily mail collection and stationery orders
  • Assist with the coordination of reception activities and oversee the work of other reception staff
  • Promote a positive company image and contribute to a welcoming office environment

About You:

The successful candidate will have experience in a similar role, with exceptional communication and relationship building skills and the ability to collaborate with all stakeholders.

  • Proven experience as a senior level receptionist
  • A high level of attention to detail
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle enquiries with professionalism and patience
  • Self-motivated, with a strong emphasis on working collaboratively within a team
  • Proficient in MS Office
