Purpose of the role
Be a driving force in informing, inspiring and engaging our people as you support their understanding of NGM Group's vision, strategic ambition and priorities. As a key player in our Organisational Communication team, you'll deliver employee communication strategies for NGM Group and its iconic brands, including Newcastle Permanent Building Society, Greater Bank, and their respective Charitable Foundations.
Leveraging a range of channels and creative formats, you'll work with stakeholders across the business to plan, prepare, deliver, measure, and evaluate communication solutions that ensure employees are connected and aligned with important business initiatives, projects, campaigns and announcements.

What will your key responsibilities include?
- Plan, prepare, implement and evaluate internal communication strategies and plans aligned with NGM Group's strategic plan – with a specific focus on organisation projects and initiatives – including providing communication advisory services to stakeholders.
- Manage, contribute to and evolve employee communication channels to ensure they are fit for purpose and effective.
- Prepare engaging and creative content for organisation-wide internal communication channels across a wide variety of formats (newsletters, intranet, briefing notes, face-to-face, speeches, toolkits, presentations etc).
- Work collaboratively with other members of the communication team to help manage the organisational communication calendar, ensuring communication outputs are timely, engaging, cohesive and impactful.
- Build effective relationships with Executive and key stakeholders to provide trusted internal communication advice and support.
- Assess the effectiveness of communication channels and messaging through research and reporting.
What are we looking for?
- Tertiary qualifications in Communications, PR, or a related field, or equivalent demonstrated industry experience.
- Experience with SharePoint, Viva Engage, and business storytelling.
- Proven experience in employee communication advisory, stakeholder management and ability to engage and influence stakeholders effectively.
- Proven experience in planning, developing, implementing, and measuring the effectiveness of internal communication plans.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt across various channels.
- A creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills and the adaptability to navigate evolving challenges.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Demonstrated time management and organisational abilities to meet deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Desired: Previous experience in the financial services industry and exposure to fast-changing environments.
