The Role
As a Case Manager, you'll work with women and children experiencing or at risk of domestic and family violence. Based in Whyalla, you'll provide crisis support and specialised case management to help clients achieve safety, stability, and long-term wellbeing.
You'll work across various settings, including social housing and community-based environments, supporting clients to navigate complex systems, access essential services, and build safer futures. You'll also contribute to the South Australian Domestic and Family Violence (DFV) Alliance, promoting collaboration, cultural safety, and inclusive practice.
- Assess risk and safety at every client interaction and create personalised safety plans.
- Support and empower victim-survivors through education, counselling, and emotional support.
- Connect clients with specialist services like mental health, housing, and family support.
- Help access essentials including material aid, safe housing, and health services.
- Keep accurate and confidential records in line with legal and organisational standards.
- Respond to crises after hours and contribute to service improvement.

What You'll Bring
- A degree in Social Work
- Understanding of trauma-informed care, risk management, and support planning
- Experience supporting people facing housing issues, family violence, or complex needs
As a Bonus
- Background in domestic and family violence, mental health, Aboriginal family violence services, or homelessness
- Knowledge of culturally responsive and strengths-based ways of working
Other Requirements
- Travel within South Australia may be required
- Participation in an after-hours on-call crisis support roster
- Flexibility to work outside regular hours on occasion
