As part of our expansion into the community services sector, Lincoln Institute of Higher Education (LIHE) is establishing a new, independently operated organisation with full institutional support. We are seeking a strategic and forward-thinking Community Services Leader to spearhead service delivery, cultivate stakeholder partnerships, and drive sustainable growth including securing funding and fostering strong government relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Program Leadership: Lead the end-to-end development, delivery, and continuous improvement of programs such as domestic violence, homelessness, family and child support, mental health, settlement, and counselling services.

NDIS Operations:

Manage the delivery and growth of our registered NDIS services, including staff supervision, training, and business development.

Team Leadership:

Recruit, train, and manage multidisciplinary staff including team leaders while fostering a collaboration.

Funding & Grants:Proactively source, secure, and manage government grants and funding streams. Ensure full compliance with contractual obligations, reporting standards, and accountability frameworks.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Build and nurture strong relationships with government agencies, community partners, and service users. Coordinate and collaborate with our existing network of volunteers and partner organisations, while actively identifying new opportunities for strategic partnerships and leading fundraising initiatives to support service growth and impact.

Compliance & Quality:

Ensure all programs consistently meet regulatory standards, accreditation requirements, and align with sector best practice frameworks to uphold service excellence and organisational integrity.

Strategic Development:

Drive organisational planning, foster service innovation, and lead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance impact, efficiency, and long-term sustainability.

Student Supervision & Industry Readiness:

Provide mentorship and supervision to students engaged in placement, training, or project work. Equip them with practical skills, professional insights, and sector knowledge to ensure they graduate industry-ready and confident in real-world service environments.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in social work, Community Services, or a related discipline (essential).

Minimum 5 years' experience leading high-performing teams within the community or human services sector.

Demonstrated success in securing and managing government funding and grants.

Familiarity with the NDIS framework, including funding mechanisms and program operations.

Strong understanding of trauma-informed care, case management, and community engagement.

Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor, motivate, and manage diverse teams.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and stakeholder liaison.

High-level organisational and problem-solving abilities.

Desirable Attributes:

Postgraduate qualifications in social work, public administration, or related fields.

Experience working with CALD, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

Familiarity with sector reforms, data systems, and outcome measurement tools.
