Join the team at Armidale Rural Referral Hospital, where you'll be based onsite with your very own office and a clear purpose: to support and guide undergraduate nursing students during their clinical placements. Located in the picturesque Hunter New England region, Armidale offers a blend of university-town vibrancy and relaxed rural charm. About the role:
As the Joint Clinical Facilitator (Clinical Nurse Educator), you'll coordinate, deliver, and evaluate clinical education for undergraduate nursing students. Working closely with Clinical Nurse Educators (CNEs), Nursing Managers, and university partners, you'll facilitate student learning through regular check-ins, debriefs, and hands-on guidance across multiple wards and clinical areas.
This office-hours role (no shift work) offers a rewarding opportunity to influence the next generation of nurses while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. You'll assess clinical competencies, support student learning, contribute to continuous improvement, and promote a culture of professional growth and clinical excellence.
About you:
You're a compassionate and confident Registered Nurse with a passion for education and mentoring. Known for your approachability, emotional intelligence, and strong communication skills, you build rapport easily and create a welcoming learning environment. Organised and proactive, you're ready to share your knowledge, support diverse learners, and work collaboratively within a dynamic team.
Requirements:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- Holds relevant clinical or education post-registration qualifications and clinical experience deemed appropriate
