Phillip, Australia HammondCare Volunteers Full time $40,000 - $60,000 per year

A Social Visits Volunteer who can make a meaningful difference - One visit at a time

Are you someone who speaks Croatian or Serbian and who enjoys a good chat? We're looking for a kind-hearted volunteer to visit a thoughtful elderly lady who's feeling a bit lonely and would like a friendly volunteer to visit her. She would appreciate having a conversation in Croatian or Serbian, though she speaks and understands some English too. Your time and company could make a world of difference. A friendly visit, a shared story, or a chat over a cuppa could truly lift her spirits.

Your impact

Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help older people feel less isolated. Your visits will bring great joy to the client you are matched with.

HammondCare

HammondCare is an independent Christian charity, supporting people to live in their homes and maintain their independence. We're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need and we have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of clients who are living at home.

HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.
