Brunetti Oro is currently seeking an experienced, qualified and passionate Pasta Chef (Demi Chef) to join the dynamic culinary team at our flagship Flinders Lane Venue.

If you are passionate about pasta and Italian cuisine, and thrive in a fast-paced kitchen this is the role for you.

As Brunetti Oro's dedicated Pasta Chef you'll be responsible for:

  • preparing fresh pasta daily
  • cooking pasta dishes to perfection following traditional and modern Italian recipes
  • preparing pasta fillings and sauces
  • assisting the larger kitchen team with dish production and service
  • developing a knowledge of the Brunetti Oro product offering
  • ensuring adherence to kitchen hygiene and food safety standards
  • working closely with the kitchen team and Head Chef to ensure production of a premium product
  • demonstrating clear communication skills, organizational skills and the ability to work as part of team
  • producing a premium product in high volume, fast paced environment

To be successful you should have:

  • Proven experience as a pasta chef or similar role in a fast paced establishment
  • Strong knowledge of Italian pasta making techniques
  • The ability to multi-task and demonstrated culinary knowledge across the board to allow assistance across other kitchen departments when necessary
  • Understanding of ingredient combination and flavors
  • An enthusiasm for food, hospitality and Italian cuisine
  • The ability to build and maintain productive working relations, to communicate effectively and be an impactful team player.
  • The Demi Chef will demonstrate an appropriate level of product knowledge as well as culinary functions in general with special emphasize on consistency, quality, presentation, and authenticity.
  • If necessary you will assist in training and supervising team members
