Join our Ladies & Gentlemen - Demi Chef (In Room Dining) at The Ritz-Carlton, Melbourne. We are seeking a passionate Demi Chef (In Room Dining) to help our kitchen team in delivering exceptional dishes on a Full-Time basis.

Only candidates with full working rights in Australia will be considered.

• Preparation and production of all hot or cold food items for buffet and a la carte menu to ensure that they are in compliance with the prescribed recipes and specifications.
• Supports and ensures compliance with all Food & Beverage policies, standards and procedures.
• Maintains food preparation handling and correct storage standards.
• Recognizes superior quality products, presentations and flavor.
• Plans and manages food quantities and plating requirements for the food operation (e.g., restaurant, banquet, pastry shop).
• Communications production needs to key personnel.
• Produces production prep list.

• A deep passion for the culinary arts.
• Exceptional technical expertise in culinary techniques.
• Strong creativity and innovation in flavor and presentation.
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.
• Previous experience in luxury hotels or hatted restaurants is highly regarded.
• Skilled in pans and wood-fire cooking techniques.
• Able to work across lunch and dinner service operations as required.
• A self-motivated and collaborative team player.
