Riverland is a busy, sun-soaked venue on the banks of the Yarra River, set against the iconic Melbourne cityscape. We are an equal opportunity employer who values diversity. Riverland is located in the historic Federation Wharf vaults, easily accessible by tram or train. The site is heritage listed and serves as a colourful reflection of Melbournes vibrant history. We are a 600-person capacity bar and eatery with a jam-packed calendar.  We host DJs, themed brunches, functions of all shapes and are just a short walk to the Arts precinct and MCG. Our year round outdoor venue is the ideal spot for beers and bites while soaking up the sun in summer or basking under the heaters and warming up with one of our winter cocktails in the cooler months.

The Company:

Riverland Group is one of Melbourne's most diverse hospitality groups, with more than 15 years' experience in the Food & Beverage and Events industries. The Group comprises seven well known F&B venues including the iconic Riverland Bar, The Boatbuilders Yard, Pilgrim, The General Assembly, The Rifle Club goes Bang Bang and Hotel Railway in Brunswick and Jetty Road Brewery.

Do you:

  • You have a passion for food with relevant tractable work history.
  • Able to perform in fast-paced environment always maintaining high and consistent food standards.
  • A team player that is willing to be an all-rounder in a structured environment.
  • Someone who is willing to be inspired, led, train and be developed by our Head Chef & Sous Chef teams and in return translate the same commitment to junior staff.
  • Have full work rights

Experience:

  • At least 1 years' experience in a similar role
  • Professionally cooking for at least 5 years
