Who We Are

SmartLynx Australia (formerly Skytrans), an Australian passenger airline and part of Avia Solutions Group, operates 13 regional aircraft specialising in Regular Public Transport (RPT), charter, and ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, Insurance) services across the Asia-Pacific. As the Group's first ACMI provider in Australia, SmartLynx Australia is supported by the world's largest ACMI fleet of 221 aircraft and 14,000 aviation professionals worldwide.

To be successful in the role, you will need to have an analytical thought process and attention to detail as well as highly developed written and verbal communication skills. Ideally, you will come with knowledge and experience working with CASA regulations pertaining to flight and duty limitations.

Our head office is based at Cairns Airport, so it is essential that you live in Cairns (or are planning to relocate) and have appropriate transport to and from work.

What You Will Do

As part of the Integrated Operations Centre (IOC), the role will typically see you coordinating scheduled and unscheduled operational activities taking place across the airline network. This includes effective situational awareness and network oversight, timely and effective communication with all internal and external stakeholders, consultation with critical stakeholders when implementing recovery solutions, all with timely and customer focused outcomes. You will need to have a strategic approach to the work so that we can operate our aircraft as planned. The role is dynamic, and no two days are the same. If you enjoy a challenging and fast paced working environment, then this role could be just what you are looking for.

What You Need to Succeed:

• Highly desirable minimum three (3) years' recent experience working in ground and airline operations (ramp, cargo, or operations control)

• Airline Operations Software Experience (preferably Air Maestro and Amelia)

• Comprehensive understanding of CASA Flight and Duty Limitations (or the ability to pick up and apply promptly)

• Ability to work in a team environment, in a cohesive and friendly manner

• Confident in problem solving and making decisions quickly

• Ability to re-shuffle and prioritise your day-to-day activities as needed
