Senior Technical Business Analyst with Data Quality Skills

Position Summary:

The Senior Technical Business Analyst is responsible for understanding and managing business requirements related to Data Quality initiatives. This role ensures that solutions meet business needs and contribute to reliable, efficient end-to-end operations across the enterprise.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Facilitate workshops to define user stories, use cases, and business requirements. Validate these with end-user focus groups and recommend direction based on cost-benefit analysis.
  • Map business requirements to solution components, monitor evolving designs, and manage requirement changes with impact analysis.
  • Analyze alternative solutions, guide stakeholders toward viable options, and ensure final solutions support business benefits through functional and user acceptance testing.
  • Contribute to test strategy, functional and usability test case development, and incident impact analysis. Facilitate user acceptance testing and approvals.
  • Ensure alignment with internal policies, standards, and regulatory guidelines. Produce accurate documentation and facilitate workshops to support IT and non-IT requirement delivery.
  • Design processes to support control assessment uplift initiatives and deliver workflows in Jira Service Management aligned with documented requirements.

  • Producing BA deliverables (e.g., backlog, user stories)

  • Variance to program business case
  • Resolution of company/program priorities
  • Business case approval
  • Escalation of unresolved issues

Qualifications / Experience / Knowledge Required:

  • Essential / Must-Have:
  • Experience developing requirements across multiple systems and functions
  • Skilled in facilitating workshops and meetings
  • Proficient in BA tools and techniques, including use case documentation
  • Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management)
  • Strong understanding of project lifecycle and solution design
  • Commercial acumen and stakeholder engagement experience
  • Tertiary qualifications in IT or Business or equivalent experience
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and analytical skills
  • Desirable / Preferable:
  • Experience in telecommunications
  • Agile methodology and tools experience
  • Project management certification or experience
  • Exposure to matrix organizations and business process re-engineering
  • Experience in data quality uplift, stewardship, and metadata management
  • Knowledge of data privacy, protection, and compliance regulations
