Thomas Martin Lawyers is a boutique strata specialist law firm based in Sydney, providing legal services in the areas of strata, building defects, property and commercial law. Our organisation is focused on providing client-based solutions and providing a dynamic and friendly work environment.

Thomas Martin Lawyers is growing and looking to add a construction/building defects lawyer to their tight-knit team.

The Role:

  • advising clients on disputes and proceedings against relevant parties, including builders and developers involving defects and remedial works
  • assist litigation matters in tribunals and courts in NSW, including preparing evidence and pleadings
  • reviewing and negotiating construction contracts
  • work closely with senior staff
  • communicate frequently and effectively with stakeholders, including experts

Key Skills/Experience:

The successful applicant will possess the following:

  • have 2-4 years post-admission experience in a similar role
  • proven experience in construction law and building defect matters.
  • the ability to communicate effectively
  • ability to complete tasks in a timely manner and manage competing priorities
  • strong drafting, analytical and research skills
  • good time management and organisational skills
  • practical and client focused problem solving skills

Remuneration:

Remuneration will be commensurate to experience. We are also committed to reviewing remuneration, at least annually.
