Kah Lawyers is one of Sydney's leading boutique Immigration law firms based in Parramatta CBD. Our principal lawyer is an accredited specialist in Immigration Law and has 30 years' experience.

Our firm provides legal advice in all immigration matters including partner, employer sponsored, independent, skilled, family and refugee visas, cancellations and complex matters including ART and Federal Court work.

We have an exciting new opportunity for a graduate lawyer or a PLT Student to join our busy practice. This is a full-time position for the right candidate.

Job description

  • You will be involved in all aspects of law within the immigration portfolio. This will include but not limited to temporary and permanent visa applications including visa cancellations
  • Administrative Review Tribunal applications
  • Drafting, submissions and appearances; judicial review proceedings in Australia's Federal Circuit Court and Federal Court
  • Advice and assistance with Ministerial intervention requests
  • Analyse and determine visa solutions
  • Advise and manage clients from beginning to the end of the visa process
  • Handling cases concerning Conveyancing, Wills and Estate and Probates work also possible

Suitable candidates will have

  • Experience in preparing migration applications in all visa categories
  • Ability to research legislative, policy and case law
  • Ability to draft documents for the ART
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent drafting skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Immigration law experience preferred
  • Experience with LEAP (including its AI functions), Migration Manager
  • A second language may be an advantage
