About the Role

We are looking for motivated and experienced Foremen / Senior Foremen to join our construction team. With a significant pipeline of Class 2 apartment projects, we are expanding our site leadership team and have opportunities for candidates with varying levels of experience.

In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating trades, overseeing daily site operations, ensuring program milestones are met, and maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance. You will work closely with the Site Manager and Project Manager to deliver projects efficiently and on time.

This is a fantastic opportunity for both seasoned foremen seeking senior roles and emerging foremen ready to step up.

Key Duties

• Coordinate and manage structure works, pour days, scaffolding, formwork, and materials handling (incl. crane use)
• Oversee finishing trades and ensure adherence to program and sequencing
• Manage day-to-day workflows for staff and subcontractors
• Monitor progress against program milestones and report to senior staff
• Order and manage materials efficiently to avoid delays and variations
• Issue and close out defects lists for subcontractors
• Enforce Masscon's QA, WHS, and environmental systems and audits
• Maintain accurate site records, daily labour logs, and subcontractor directions
• Lead by example with strong site leadership, safety focus, and communication
• Mentor and support cadets and junior foremen in construction methodology and QA processes
• Liaise with site managers, consultants, authorities, and safety officers as required

About You

We're seeking candidates who are practical, hands-on, and thrive in a busy construction environment.

• 5+ years' experience in a Foreman or Senior Foreman role (junior foremen with strong trade background also encouraged to apply)
• Strong knowledge of structure and finishes works in multi-unit residential construction
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Ability to manage subcontractors and site teams effectively
• Strong problem-solving and time-management skills
• Proficiency with basic computer applications (Excel, Word, Project)
• A proactive, team-oriented attitude with a commitment to quality and safety
