About Us

About the Role
Are you ready to inspire nursing students? Our Diploma of Nursing (EN program) is currently seeking sessional teachers who can inspire and equip our students with current industry knowledge and skills. You will achieve this by showcasing your teaching skills and providing students with current standard industry practices.
About the Person
Skill and experience:
- Registered Nurse (RN) with AHPRA
- Bachelor of Nursing degree (or equivalent) or higher
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or TAE40116) or equivalent
- Current Working with Children Check
- Understanding of ASQA/ANMAC regulatory guidelines and standards
- Highly desirable:
- 2-3 years VET teaching experience
- 3 years Nursing experience (medical & surgical nursing)
Duties
An example of duties you may perform will include:
- Establish and maintain a positive learning environment and undertake assessment of student performance in accordance with the requirements of the relevant curriculum/ training package.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and assessment in accordance with the National VET Regulator including the requirements of moderation and validation of assessment.
- Maintain industry currency to ensure our students are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge
- Provide formative and summative feedback to students
- Facilitate Practical and Simulation Labs
Salary and Conditions of Employment
- For the sessional teaching roles, the hourly rate payable is $95.01 per hour inclusive of 25% sessional loading plus superannuation.
- Conditions of employment will be covered by Victoria University's Vocational Teacher Enterprise Agreement 2025
