About the role

We are seeking an experienced and talented Supervisor to join our thriving team at SHP Construction and Civil. In this full-time role, you will play a pivotal part in overseeing and coordinating construction activities at our sites in Townsville, Queensland. As a highly skilled Supervisor, you will ensure that all projects are completed to the highest standards of quality, safety and efficiency.

What you'll be doing

  • Supervise and coordinate construction activities, work crews and subcontractors on site
  • Ensure adherence to all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures
  • Monitor progress and quality of work, and identify and resolve any issues or delays
  • Develop and implement work plans and schedules to meet project deadlines
  • Provide leadership, mentoring and training to construction teams
  • Liaise with project managers, clients and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery
  • Participate in the planning and execution of site logistics and resource allocation

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Supervisor or Foreperson in the construction industry
  • Strong technical knowledge of construction methods, materials, tools and equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings and specifications
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Proficient in problem-solving, decision-making and conflict resolution
  • Thorough understanding of workplace health and safety regulations
  • Experience in managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple work crews
  • Relevant trade qualifications or certifications
