Service:

Allied and Community Health Service

Our Allied and Community Health Teams are multi-disciplinary teams who work together towards the common goal of improving health outcomes of our community members. Services are based in Port Augusta and Whyalla, with regular outreach clinics held in Roxby Downs, Quorn, Hawker, Maree and Leigh Creek. We offer a wide range of centre-based, in-home and community-based services to people of all ages and tailor our services to best meet our client needs. About the Role:

The Occupational Therapist applies clinical expertise and growing generalist and/or specialist knowledge to plan, deliver, and evaluate a comprehensive range of services that meet the needs of the local community. Working with reduced clinical direction, the role may also support the supervision of less experienced allied health professionals, assistants, and students. As an integral member of a multi-professional team, the Occupational Therapist uses a combination of preventative, early intervention, treatment, therapy, and evaluation approaches to promote positive health and wellbeing outcomes.

About You:

  • Must hold a recognised qualification within a relevant Allied Health profession and be eligible for practicing membership of the relevant Professional Association. For those professions requiring registration, all requirements to obtain and maintain current registration must be fulfilled. For self-regulated professions it is desirable to participate in the professional association accredited continuing professional development program.
  • Apply expertise to deliver professional services requiring complex practice skills.
  • Exercise judgment in adapting established professional methods and techniques.
  • Provide clinical and consultative services across individual, group, and health settings.
  • Manage and prioritise workload while supporting others in resource allocation.
